trying to reset the misfire counters for a 2008 Smart cylinders 1,2,3 back to "0". have tried checking the box to the left and then hitting the trash can.... doesn't work..... how do I reset the values to "0"?

    You can't reset misfaer count:-) :-) :-)

     Doesn't make sense.... There is no reason to keep a historical record of cylinder misfires....

    I checked Coogle and the articles talk about the vehicle's ECU misfire counter; I want to reset the 906 counter to "0" so I can read the effect of any changes.  the SnapOn Verus unit resets and only shows new misfires....

    It makes it difficult to tell if repairs/changes have made a difference.

     there are/were no codes; so nothing to clear...  earlier codes were not related to misfires or engine management
